[I]f Facebook is actually worried about the LGBT community's safety in those regions of the world, and its support has been as long lasting and unshaken – as expressed in its official page –, its motivation not to allow the "Pride Reaction" should be expressed officially. The company refuses to justify its geographical choice (regarding the permission to use the "Rainbow reaction"), even tough empirical data shows a correlation between institutional persecution to LGBT people and the absence of this button.
